A-Ha - Crying in The Rain (live)

Crying in the Rain is a song written by Howard Greenfield and Carole King and was originally recorded by The Everly Brothers. The single peaked at #6 on the U.S. pop charts in 1962.

In 1990, the Norwegian pop band A-ha covered the song. Following its success, A-ha became closer to the Everly Brothers, who had originally recorded the song. The band members were presented a set of guitars by the Everly Brothers that A-ha continues to use.

This is one of the few commercially available songs which A-ha have covered.

The only others being "Velvet", first released by Savoy, and "Dragonfly", first released by Magne Furuholmen.

Though often given the misnomer of "one-hit wonder" in the U.S., A-ha has actually had a number of singles appear on various charts there, though none anywhere near as big a hit as their debut, "Take On Me". "Crying in the Rain" was A-ha's last single to go top 40 on a Billboard chart in the U.S. to date, peaking at #26 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart during the week ending April 6, 1991.

It was more popular internationally, topping the charts in the band's native Norway, and peaking at #13 in the UK Singles Chart, where the band had found previous success as well.

It was the 32nd most successful song of the year 2010 in Romanian Top 100, although it peaked outside the top 20.

Elvis Presley & Martina McBride - Blue Christmas

Blue Christmas is a Christmas song written by Billy Hayes and Jay W. Johnson. Its tale of unrequited love during the holidays and is a longstanding staple of Christmas music, especially in the country genre. 

Elvis Presley cemented the status of "Blue Christmas" as a rock-and-roll holiday classic by deleting one verse from Tubb's version and recording the remainder on his 1957 LP Elvis' Christmas Album. Presley's version is notable musicologically as well as culturally in that its backing vocalists (especially in the soprano line) replace many major and just minor thirds with neutral and septimal minor thirds, respectively.

In addition to contributing to the overall tone of the song, the resulting "blue notes" constitute a musical play on words that provides an "inside joke" or "Easter egg" to trained ears.

Presley's original 1957 version was released as a commercially-available single for the first time in 1964. This single was a hit in the U.K., making No.11 during the week of 26th December 1964 on the British singles chart, although it didn't achieve chart success in Presley's native U.S.

Elvis and Martina McBride spend a Blue Christmas together.

Martina McBride was just shy of 2 when Elvis Presley filmed his 1968 "comeback" TV special. This year, the country singer steps back in time 40 years to join the King of Rock 'n' Roll in a video for Blue Christmas.

The effect is similar to Celine Dion's American Idol duet with Presley on If I Can Dream in 2007, but producer George Flanigen says the process used for the illusion was entirely different.

"They took Elvis out of the '68 special and put him on the Idol stage," he says. "We were taking Martina to the '68 special."

The posthumous collaboration also appears on Elvis Presley Christmas Duets, a new album that pairs Presley with singers such as Carrie Underwood, Amy Grant and Olivia Newton-John.

In the original footage — the only existing video of Elvis performing a Christmas song — a leather-clad Presley appears with his band on a small stage at the center of a studio audience. In the video, McBride walks out of the audience and sits next to him.

"There's a spot between (guitarist) Scotty Moore and Elvis that's open, like somebody should have been sitting there," says Flanigen. "We're like, 'We could probably figure a way to put her with Elvis.'

"We scoured the footage and picked shots of Elvis throughout the whole special to be able to put them together. There are shots where he and Martina share the frame, where he looks over at her, where she looks back at him and sings and smiles."

McBride filmed her parts in front of a green screen. "It took four weeks" to piece together, Flanigen says.

Bryan Adams - Heaven (acoustic, live)

"Heaven" is a power ballad by Canadian rock singer Bryan Adams, co-written by Adams and Jim Vallance.

Heavily influenced by Journey's 1983 hit "Faithfully", the song was written while Adams served as the opening act on the band's Frontiers Tour, and features their drummer, Steve Smith.[1] It first appeared on the A Night in Heaven soundtrack album in 1983 and was later included on Adams' album Reckless in 1984.

It was released as the third single from Reckless and reached number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in June 1985, over a year and a half after the song first appeared on record. The single was certified Gold in Canada in 1985.

"Heaven" first appeared on the A Night in Heaven soundtrack album in 1983 and received substantial airplay on album-oriented rock radio stations, reaching number 9 on Billboard's Top Tracks chart in early 1984. It was released as the third single from the album Reckless in April 1985 and reached number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song also re-entered the Top Rock Tracks chart in 1985, peaking at number 27. "Heaven" also peaked at number 12 on the Adult Contemporary chart during its second run, becoming Adams' second single to reach that chart after "Straight from the Heart" in 1983, and his biggest AC hit until 1991.

In Canada "Heaven" was officially released to radio on January, 1985.The song reached the top twenty on the Canadian Singles Chart and remained in the top twenty for another month. "Heaven" was the highest charting single from Reckless.

The song was released in Australia, Europe and New Zealand in 1985. "Heaven" reached the UK top forty.

"Heaven" continued the trend of higher-charting singles when it debuted and peaked at top twenty in most of the European countries in which it charted. Adams' previous singles had charted much weaker in Europe and "Heaven" would be Adams' first single to chart in mainland Europe.

Although "Heaven" reached the top ten in Sweden and Norway and then the top twenty in Austria, Ireland, Switzerland and Sweden, it was a moderate top hundred success in Germany where it peaked at number 62.

Mai Lan est entrée en musique à l'âge de 7 ans. Piano classique + tous les disques familiaux. Éléphant – Collective Mon Amour (2012)

Elephant is a band from London, made up of Amelia Rivas (vocals, keyboards) and Christian Pinchbeck (guitars, computers).

Elephant (from Pittsburgh) now has a full length available though iTunes entitled “Identities”.

Elephant is a Pittsburgh based band featuring members of Wings of Azrael. They currently have a ep and are in the process of recording a full length due sometime in 2010. The band runs a last.fm page under the name Elephant (PA) due to the other bands named “elephant”.

Theres more than one band under the name Elephant.

Elephant is a one-man project that reveres the metal it enjoys while using this passion to strengthen its own sound through constant experimentation and reinvention. Grateful for its dedicated fanbase yet refusing to take its praise for granted, Elephant has continued to resist fear and laziness out of the sheer thrill of creating music.

Elephant’s 2008 album, The Extinction Paradox, was further proof of Elephant’s need to progress. Each album has stood both as the best Elephant could achieve at the time as well as the standard to be destroyed with the following album. Throughout each success and failure, Elephant’s fans have mythologized the music better than Elephant itself ever could.

Elephant now presents its seventh and final album, The Defining Choice. Everything before this was practice. Featuring intense riffs, evolving song structures, and imaginative lyrics, this is the final frantic yet focused tirade from a musician who feels that he is a the end of his creativity. The result will either overwhelm the listener or lure them into the enjoyable insanity to witness a triumphant ending.

Jupiter are “Q. & A.”, a boy and a girl, based in Paris. They deliver vintage-flavored disco songs that would be on heavy rotation on every radio station in a better world.

Their official bio goes like this: "The two members of Jupiter met on a dancefloor cleared by a slightly too retro hit. Their shared passion for a time tainted by glitter and care-free music drove them to bond together and write music halfway between “Thank God It’s Friday” and "Purple Rain”. "Glitter and disco synths is exactly what you can hear on their new track “Starlighter”, here remixed by Bottin.

Great Mountain Fire is an indie rock band from Brussels who from early in 2006 have produced exciting and razor sharp pop songs, attempting the impossible and often achieving it!

For five years the band (previously known as Nestor!) grew and gained important live experience at renowned venues and festivals (Dour Festival, Nuits du Botanique, etc.) and made a few recordings such as their self-produced E.P. “This Is A Party Favor”.

In June 2010, the band went into the studio to record what would become “Canopy”, Great Mountain Fire's first album.

Recorded under the watchful eyes and ears of Jean Waterlot (Ghinzu, Montevideo), the album expresses over its 11 tracks a rich and cultural depth, transporting the listener through the band's own unique and refreshing jungle of sounds.

Célien Schneider - Jupiter piano voix (2011)

Acestă înregistrare a fost făcută în librăria Shakespeare situată în St. Michel din Paris, acolo unde podeaua scârțâie un pic și se află un pian vechi cu pedale.

Célien s-a așezat calm, și-a fixat bine ochelarii, a spus că este conștient de faptul că pianul nu funcționează foarte bine, dar că nu contează, ca toți marii pianiști, el se adaptează la pretențiile instrumentului.

A ieși ce puteți vedea și asculta.

Albumul său de debut a apărut anul acesta sub titlul „Come Rain Or Shine”.

Oldelaf - Le Cafe

Oldelaf, de son vrai nom Olivier Delafosse, est un auteur-compositeur-interprète, chanteur humoristique et musicien français né le 10 mai 1975.

En 2000, il crée le groupe Oldelaf & Monsieur D avec le comédien Frédéric Draps.

Après la séparation du groupe lors de leur concert d'adieu à l'Olympia le 30 janvier 2010, il poursuit sa route en solo, entouré sur scène par Julien Breton dans le rôle de Charles Berthier, Alexandre Zapata dans le rôle d'Alain Berthier, Fabrice Lemoine dans le rôle d'Amaury Cantet et Victor Paillet dans le rôle de Jacques F.

D'origine normande, Olivier Delafosse apprend le piano dans son enfance. Dès 14 ans, il commence à composer des chansons qu'il interprète au sein d'un groupe de lycéens. Après le baccalauréat, il suit des études de musicologie, devient animateur socio-culturel et enseigne un temps la musique dans un collège de Caen. Très tôt cependant, il décide de « monter à Paris ».

Le 17 octobre 2011, il sort son premier album solo Le Monde est Beau.
