Robbie Williams - Feel

"Feel" is a song by British singer-songwriter Robbie Williams. It was released on December 2, 2002 as the lead single from his fifth studio album, Escapology.
The song became an international hit, reaching the top of the charts in Austria, Germany, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, and top five positions in countries such as Denmark, Ireland and the United Kingdom.
Background
"Feel" was written by Robbie Williams and Guy Chambers.
According to Williams, most of the vocals are from the original demo recording, as he felt unsatisfied with the re-recorded vocals. He commented, "I just couldn't sing it as well as I did on that day."
Music video
The video shows Williams in a cowboy-like lifestyle. It gained some attention in the United States thanks to Daryl Hannah's appearance as Williams' love interest.
There were two versions of the same video, one shot in black and white and the other in colour.
In popular culture - Television
The song was featured in Cathay Pacific's 2009-2010 advertisement campaign.
A custom-made instrumental version of the song is also produced in promotion for the airline's new Business Class seats on its website.
The lyrics:
Come on hold my hand
I wanna contact the living
Not sure I understand
This role I've been given

I sit and talk to God
And he just laughs at my plans
My head speaks a language
I don't understand

I just wanna feel real love
Feel the home that I live in
'Cause I got too much life
Running through my veins, going to waste

I don't wanna die
But I ain't keen on living either
Before I fall in love
I'm preparing to leave her

I scare myself to death
That's why I keep on running
Before I've arrived
I can see myself coming

I just wanna feel real love
Feel the home that I live in
'Cause I got too much life
Running through my veins, going to waste

And I need to feel
Real love
And a life ever after
I cannot give it up

I just wanna feel real love
Feel the home that I live in
I got too much love
Running through my veins, to go to waste

I just wanna feel real love
In a life ever after, there's a hole in my soul
You can see it in my face
It's a real big place

Come and hold my hand
I want to contact the living
Not sure I understand
This role I've been given

Not sure I understand
Not sure I understand
Not sure I understand

Not sure I understand

Robbie Williams and Nicole Kidman - Somethin' Stupid

Somethin' Stupid is a song written by C. Carson Parks and originally recorded in 1966 by Parks and his wife Gaile Foote, as "Carson and Gaile".
It is best known in the hit version by Frank Sinatra and his daughter, Nancy Sinatra.
The song has been covered many times in the years since the song was originally released.
British singer Robbie Williams recorded "Somethin' Stupid" as a duet in 2001 with Academy Award-winning actress Nicole Kidman. The song appeared on Williams' 2001 album, Swing When You're Winning, and it topped the UK Singles Chart at the end of the year.
The song became Williams' first Christmas number-one single in the United Kingdom, and fifth as a featured artist. The single sold 98,506 copies in its first week and 366,000 copies over all earning a Silver Certification by the BPI.
The song was the 30th best selling single of 2001 in the UK. The song also became another number-one single for Williams in New Zealand, being certified Gold, and became, at the time, his best selling single in Europe charting inside the top ten in most countries.
In Australia, it became Williams' fourth top ten single, earning a Gold certification for over 35,000 copies sold.
The lyrics:
I know I stand in line
Until you think you have the time
To spend an evening with me
And if we go someplace to dance
I know that there's a chance
You won't be leaving with me

Then afterwards we drop into a quiet little place
And have a drink or two
And then I go and spoil it all
By saying something stupid
Like I love you

I can see it in your eyes
You still despise the same old lines
You heard the night before
And though it's just a line to you
For me it's true
And never seemed so right before

I practice every day to find some clever
lines to say
To make the meaning come true
But then I think I'll wait until the evening
gets late
And I'm alone with you

The time is right
Your perfume fills my head
The stars get red
And oh the night's so blue
And then I go and spoil it all
By saying something stupid
Like I love you
I love you...

Robbie Williams - Eternity

"Eternity"/"The Road to Mandalay" is the fifth single from Robbie Williams' 2000 Sing When You're Winning album, released in July 2001.
"Eternity" does not appear in the album but it was later included on Williams' Greatest Hits album.
The video for Eternity is a sequel to "The Road to Mandalay". Mixed with scenes from the first video are scenes of Williams and his girlfriend lounging around their house, playing pool and walking along the beach and on the trampoline. These scenes are also intercut with scenes of Williams and his girlfriend standing opposite each other, looking wistfully at each other. The end of the video shows Williams giving his girlfriend a long parting kiss, then being handcuffed and led away by the police, who tracked him down from clues left at the scene of the robbery. Williams' girlfriend is played by Australian model Lisa Seiffert.
The single became Williams' fourth number-one hit in the United Kingdom and his second in New Zealand, it made its mark around Europe charting inside the top ten in most countries, the single went on to sell 70,186 in its first week in the United Kingdom, and overall sales exceeded the 340,000 copies being certified Silver by the BPI.
The lyrics of "Eternity" were written as a tribute to Williams' close friendship with Geri Halliwell and was the 20th best selling single of 2001 in the UK and features Brian May of Queen on guitar.
The lyrics:
Close your eyes so you don't feel them
They don't need to see you cry
I can't promise I will heal you
But if you want to I will try

Sing this summer serenade
The past is done, we've been betrayed
It's true, some might say the truth will out
But I believe without a doubt in you

You were there for summer dreaming
And you gave me what I need
And I hope you find your freedom
For eternity, for eternity

Yesterday when we were walking
You talked about your mom and dad
What they did that made you happy
What they did that made you sad

We sat and watched the sun go down
Then picked a star before we lost
The moon, youth is wasted on the young
Before you know it's come and gone too soon

You were there for summer dreaming
And you gave me what I need
And I hope you find your freedom
For eternity, for eternity

You were there for summer dreaming
And you are a friend indeed
And I hope you find your freedom for eternity

You were there for summer dreaming
And you are a friend indeed
And I know you find your freedom
Eventually, for eternity, for eternity
